According to the California State Bar, in 2025 alone, over 21,000 cases were opened against California attorneys and nonattorneys holding themselves out fraudulently as licensees.

Many people don't realize you can report the misconduct of legal professionals to the state bar, not just to Facebook and Yelp.

Although, the official complaint process can take time it is often not transparent, nonetheless, legal professionals can and are held accountable for proven bad acts.
